It Is Never Too Late

We focus so much on what we should be doing, or pleasing our parents' vision of us that we end up losing ourselves in the midst of life. By the time we figure out that we’ve had it all wrong, we feel that it’s too late to succeed.

Let me tell you that it is NEVER too late to do what you love and enjoy!

I am 30 years old and I’m just figuring this out! They do say 30 is the new 20! I have known for years that I wanted to be a business owner but never fully known what I would own or why. Until 2020 happened.

Make Good From The Bad

This year, 2020 was probably the hardest year for most of us in this world. You had the choice to either let 2020 take you or you take 2020 by the horns and show it who’s boss!!

 That’s what I did! I quit my full time job and just focused on starting my business. Once I had it all figured out, I decided to find a full time job that would let me work from home to help support our family while also helping our home business grow.  It gave me time to work on things before my work day, during lunch and right after work. It was an opportunity!

Our launch date for Illy’s and Lilly’s Handcrafted Bags was June 20,2020. We were right in the middle of lock down like the rest of the world, but we had faith that our little business of three people could do this!

Sharing Our Joy With You

        Fast forward 8 months and we have grown and have loved every moment of it!! It has been hard learning every little detail about running a business. I constantly remind myself that every goal we pursue won’t be easy! I have had an amazing support system that has been circling my business and pushing us and myself!

        I look forward to Illy’s and Lilly’s growing and seeing our items end up in your home. But, most importantly, my hope is that my story inspires others to pursue their dreams too!
